After an initial positive experience trying out a few Sanrenmu and Enlan knives, I bought a few others to try out some additional styles and designs. I bought the Sanrenmu 763 and T01 model knives, as well as an Enlan EL04MCT. As with my other Sanrenmu and Enlan knives, these three were very well constructed, having perfect fit and finish, and they were all razor sharp from the factory.

The SRM 763 is a very well designed, great performing, phenominal value EDC knife. The knife is thin and lightweight, making it very easy and unobtrusitve to carry in your pocket. The Axis lock provides a very solid lockup with no blade play in any direction. In addition, the Axis mechanism combined with the smooth pivot make opening and closing the knife very easy and fast. The blade is a bit thinner than some other model knives, but there is a good width of steel behind it to provide strength and stability when cutting.

The SRM T01 is great multi-tool that could be an asset should you find yourself needing to free yourself or someone else from a vehicle. The integrated glass-breaker in the handle enables you to get in and out of the vehicle if the doors are not possible. The seatbelt cutting hook blade allows you to safely detach a seatbelt without risking injury to yourself or someone else by not exposing the blade tip or edge. The integrated liner locks for the main blade and additional tools provides protection from accidental blade closure. The additional safety lock on the main blade also gives an added measure of safety by preventing accidental disengagement of the liner lock. I keep one of these in my car at all times, and you should too.

The Enlan EL04MCT is a beautifully crafted knife. The contoured micarta handle scales are very well finished and look and feel great. The satin finished blade looks very sleek. Overall, the knife feels very heavy duty for a folding blade. The handle scales are thicker than most smaller EDC knives. This makes the EL04MCT a bit bulkier when carried in your pocket, but the more robust handles do provide greater comfort when handling the knife. Overall, the EL04MCT is a well made heavier duty larger pocket folding knife.
