I'm a Reader, want to read - What is surprised ! when I purchase Chinese knives.
| SanRenMu is better than Emerson Knives! |

Here’s what it’s all about - These well known “American” companies, like Benchmade, Spyderco, CRKT (Columbia River Knife and Tool), S.O.G., Cold Steel, Kershaw, Buck, Smith & Wesson, etc. are built in China, at SanRenMu and some others. What that means, is that you end up paying four, to five TIMES as much for the EXACT SAME knife, for that “American” false pride stamping on the blade’s tang. Seriously. Real Talk.
Who’s ripping off who? These “Big Name” companies we have all heard of, here in the United States, are selling us RE-BRANDED SanRenMu knives! Why not skip the middle man, and keep all the profits you would have given to Sal Glesser, or Ernest Emerson?
Seriously, what do you think Spyderco’s cost for that thirty dollar Byrd knife is? I bet it’s about the same as what Exduct.com sells us these ORIGINAL versions for. Yuppers. Do the math. Recognize.
Personally, I would always rather have the original version, rather than some re-branded, overpriced imitator. That’s for sure. Ever heard of Bob Lum? He’s Chinese, just like SanRenMu! Recognize! Yes, I agree you do have to watch out for CCC’s (Cheap Chinese Copies), but once you find a QUALITY product (That does OEM - Original Equipment Manufacture - for Spyderco, Benchmaid, and Kershaw) then why pay all that tax and tariff for a RE-BRANDED copy of an original SanRenMu?
I just ordered two Navy k-507’s because they are STRIDENZAS! G-10 on one side, (open back / pillar contsruction) with a (Stainless) framelock on the other side, of a Medium sized Sebenza copy. I never wanted a real Sebbie, because I like one side to be grippy G-10, so all the Chris Reeve stuff never floated my boats. Finally! The Chinese ORIGINATED the idea of a STRIDENZA, as far as I’m concerned, and they deserve credit for that.
I just hope that Navy knives quality control has improved to SanRenMu standards. An older Model Navy (Al Mar SERE 2000 copy) wasn’t that great, but I’m giving them another chance, because they’re so affordable!
