Quality beyond all Expectations

I've been a knife collector, a knife user, and I guess a knife admirer for many, many years.  It all started out camping with my father when I was a child, and he introduced me to the world of pocket folding knives and swiss army knives and what uses they have.  Ever since that point, I've carried a small folding knife with me whenever I went out.

A few years ago I decided to get back in to knife collecting after a protracted absence, and one thing I noticed was that Chinese-made, high quality pocket knives from the likes of SanRenMu, Navy, Enlan and Ganzo were not only present in the market place, but getting praise, significant praise from many in the pocket knife community.  I'll be honest in saying that I was somewhat nervous in purchasing my first Chinese knife (a Navy K615) as I generally like to handle knives and tools before I purchase them. This fear was completely unfounded. The first Chinese knife I held in my hands from Navy knives was of excellent quality.  Well made, good steel, evenly and properly machined, with excellent quality all around.  The lock ups were perfect as well, probably the most important part of a folding knife.  At this point I was extremely impressed - for the price I paid for the knives, the quality matched or exceeded many knives I'd paid significantly more for from North American retailers.   I was hooked.

I now own a number of knives from Enlan, Navy and SanRenMu, but I have to say that my favourite knife of all the knives I've bought is the SanRenMu GB-763.  This knife uses SanRenMu's version of the Axis Lock mechanism, a piston-style tang lock popular in North America from a number of different makers.  I can say without hyperbole that the quality of this particular knife is at the level of, or in many cases significantly exceeds the quality of many knives from many North American makers that I've held, used or owned that have cost much more.  The quality control is exceptional, the steel of good quality, the locking mechanism well designed and well machined, and the handle comfortable for long periods of use.  I especially enjoy that the knife is startlingly light weight and virtually disappears in my pocket - when I don't need the knife, I don't need to think about it.  When I do need the knife, it will be there for me.

For all those people in the world wondering if they should give SanRenMu or Enlan or Navy or Ganzo a chance, I say - YES!  I believe you'll be surprised, as I was, about the sheer quality and comfort you can gain for such a low price.  Quality, beyond all expectations.
