Navy K602 is a good knife

Just received this knife this afternoon. first of all, it is the largest folder I have, even larger than the Spyderco Resilience in case you know how large that knife is.

This is the new version of the Navy K602. The easy to notice features of the new version are: stone washed blade and handle (half of the handle is metal, the other half is G10) and the frame lock. The not so obvious differences between the new and the older versions are: blade grinding and the copper washers used on both sides of the blade of the new version.

Its lock is firm. The blade is very sharp right out of the box, I do not feel I need to sharp it before using it like I usually do for many of my other knives. Also, it came with the usual Navy’s fabric pouch.

I do not care much about the stone wash, but this is not the best stone wash I ever saw. Also the main hinge seems to be a little too tight so that I am having a little difficulty to open and close this knife by one hand. I think I can easily fix it when I get home tonight.

I do not have the previous version of K602, but I do have its little brother, a K603. I think the new version has a better craftsmanship.

This was also my first experience buying a knife from this webpage. The registration and ordering were smooth enough. The shipping was fast, I got the knife exactly 10 days after placing the order and I am in USA. It was packed well and registered.

I really like this knife, no buyer’s remorse yet!
