I ordered a few more knives today, which caused me to look at my existing collection. One of my favorite knives and certainly my favorite one from the Navy brand, is the K615. My first experience with this knife was with the smaller version. I have since ordered the larger version and I am waiting for it to arrive. The knife I previously ordered came razor sharp right out of the box. In fact,I probably would call it "scary" sharp. it certainly isn't the kind of knife I would let my older grandkids handle much. The ergonomics of the knife are very agreeable in the hand, giving an incredible amount of leverage. It just plain feels good to handle and allows you to apply cutting force where it is most needed. I ordered the black handle, but would love to have the same knife in orange when it becomes available at Exduct. It comes in an attractive pouch, or at least mine did. This is a serious knife with many practical applications. The Spydie type hold gives it a very professional appearance as well as great functionality for opening. The varied jimping on the back of the blade is very useful and somewhat unique. I haven't seen other knives that have 3 stages of jimping on the back of the blade. I own several Navy brand knives, but this is my favorite one, especially from a functional, cosmetic, and ergonomic perspective. The knife I previously ordered came razor sharp right out of the box.
